Boston young professionals, recent college graduates and, for lack of a non-clichéd term, industry disrupters have done an awesome job innovating Boston. From the world-renowned tech and startup scene to the resurgence of public art installments, much of what’s bettered Boston in recent years has come from the emerging generation. Now, it’s time to honor them.

ONEin3, which has been around since 2004, is a group of Bostonians aged 20 to 34 that helps bridge the gap between Boston young adults and “resources related to: housing, professional development, financial health, entrepreneurship and civic engagement,” according to its website.

On Friday, voting closes for their ONEin3 Impact Awards which honors someone in that same demographic that  “goes above and beyond every day to have a positive impact in Boston, making our city a better place just by being themselves,” as noted on the nomination page. Community impact in this instance, though, is based on beneficial change made through STEAM – science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

An awards event will take place on September 25 but keep in mind, voting for your nominee as a ONEin3 impact maker closes promptly tomorrow. To submit the name of a Bostonian you think is more than deserving of this distinction, you can do so right here.

“We’re planning to announce the 20 honorees on September 1st and all honorees will be invited to the event where they will each receive a certificate signed by Mayor Walsh in recognition for their contributions to positively shaping the future of Boston,” ONEin3 member Marc Savatsky told BostInno in an email.

To attend the September 25 event, sign up using the eventbrite page here. It’s to be held at WeWork’s South Station office which, in case you haven’t seen our coverage of their digs, is a phenomenal space to hold such an award ceremony.
