Tuesday night marks the series finally of knee-slapping comedy Parks and Recreation, starring Boston College’s own Amy Poehler. The hour long special kicks off at 10 p.m. on NBC.

Shot in mockumentary style, Parks and Recreation has spanned seven seasons and comes to a close just days after co-executive producer Harris Wittels passed away from a possible drug overdose. Wittels was 30-years old.

According to Deadline, the case and crew have a special tribute to Wittels planned for after the series finale “with a We Love You, Harris message.”

Poehler, who grew up in nearby Burlington and graduated from BC in 1993, was recently in town visiting Harvard to be roasted by Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
