After an MIT police officer was shot and killed last night around 10:30 p.m., the two suspects involved in Monday’s Boston Marathon explosion led the Boston police on a chase into Watertown. Suspect #1, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was shot and killed, and his brother, Suspect #2 Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, remains at large. As a result, the entire city of Boston is on lockdown. The MBTA and commuter rail are not running, businesses are not to open, and people are advised to stay inside and lock their doors until the suspect is found.

The view of Boston is truly eerie as the city has been totally shut down. Heavily trafficked areas are deserted, and the result is a scene that is otherwise impossible to imagine on a busy, spring weekday.
