Cambridge-based Pixability, a startup focused on marketing videos on YouTube, has raised $4.1 million according to an SEC report uncovered by the BBJ.

The company’s Caffeine YouTube software enables targeted video advertising on the platform. The company was founded in 2008 by serial entrepreneur and MIT grad Bettina Hein. Its original focus was editing videos recorded by small, handheld video cameras.

Pixability prevously raised $1 million in angel funding led by Launchpad Venture Group in February 2011. The new funding is part of a planned $6 million round, according to the documents.
