Just when you thought this week was about to go from bad to worse (with the weather, anyway), things are finally looking up. On-demand delivery startup Postmates will be delivering the ultimate comfort food – grilled cheese sandwiches – right to your doorstep starting tomorrow, Jan. 7 through Friday, Jan. 9.

Oh, and we should note that these grilled cheese sandwiches are free. This is not a drill, folks!

Postmates, which launched in Boston last summer, is known for its element of surprise when it comes to sweet deliveries. In the past, the startup has pleasantly surprised Bostonians with its free ice cream, lobster rolls, Union Square Donuts and Boloco burrito deliveries. Those offers just asked for a small deliver fee, which we can reasonably expect this time around, too.

The free grilled cheeses will be available Wednesday through Friday beginning at 11 a.m. from a variety of delectable purveyors, depending where you’re ordering from. All you have to do is open the Postmates app – more details on the deal are available there, too – and find the FREE Grilled Cheese On-Demand store. Then simply add your free grilled cheese and check out.
