President Obama and family will vacation for the third consecutive summer in a row on Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Mass. Boston.com is reporting that he will spend a week or more in mid-August on the Island.

The First Family will stay at Blue Heron Farm in Chilmark on the island, which is a $20 million estate that sits on 28 acres on Tisbury Great Pond. It includes a main house, guest house, boat house, horse barn, pasture, basketball court, swimming pool, golf green, and more. Chilmark is on the Vineyard’s rural west end, best known for having some of the highest property values in the United States. BusinessWeek just named it one of the most expensive small towns in America with a median home sale price of $2,237,000, saying,

“Located on the island of Marthas Vineyard, Chilmark is the second-least densely populated town in Massachusetts and much more low-key than Edgartown or Oak Bluffs. The town includes the picturesque, 300-year-old fishing village of Menemsha, as well as two private beaches, Squibnocket and Lucy Vincent. Great fishing, kayaking, swimming, and sunsets.”

Incidentally, Blue Heron Farm is owned by William and Molly Van Devender, who are Republicans that supported John McCain in the last election. The President, First Lady Michelle Obama, dog Bo, and two daughters Sasha and Malia also vacationed at this same estate in 2009 and 2010, which you can check out photos and videos of below (including some photos of them vacationing last year):
