Nothing says summertime quite like a lobster roll in Massachusetts. And as Bostonians, we know just how hard (read: nearly impossible) it is to find a lobster roll that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. If a lobster roll is listed at “market price,” you can expect to be charged upwards of $20 or more – because while meaty lobster rolls are oh-so-delicious, they also happen to be oh-so-expensive.

But not anymore. For the first time ever, Pret A Manger will be serving Maine Lobster Rolls and Maine Lobster Salad – available all summer long.

Pret A Manger added these brand new summer seasonal items to their menu just last week. And according to an official source, the new lobster rolls and salads “consist of juice Maine lobster claws and knuckles.”

The Maine Lobster Roll is “made with chunks of lobster, mayo, a tricolor veggie mix, basil, lettuce from Satur Farms, and a hint of lemon sandwiched between Pret’s buttery artisan brioche roll” and the best part – it will only cost you $7.99.

Just another affordable, lunch option for busy Boston professionals. And if you work in the Financial District, you’re in luck. The popular UK-based quick serve restaurant recently opened a new (and large) cafe in the neighborhood.

Happy summer!
