It’s officially wedding season! This summer has already been filled with a plethora of nuptials, dance parties and free food – and trust us, there’s more to come. Plenty of folks have or will be tying the knot this summer. But while some couples may get married at an exotic destination or at a nearby chapel, there are a handful of locals who plan to get hitched at (where else?) Samuel Adams Brewery.

Why, you ask? Because they can. Once again, Sam Adams is giving new meaning to the words “to have and to hold and to keep your beer cold” with their annual “Brewlywed at the Brewery” event happening tomorrow, June 18. For one day only, couples can make it official in the Hops Garden at the Boston-area brewery.

There will be a Justice of the Peace on-site as well as Founder Jim Koch who will step in as Best Man during the ceremonies. Couples looking to renew their vows are also welcome to take part in the event.

Guests can also try this year’s batch of Brewlywed Ale, a specialty wedding brew available for purchase one-day-only at the Sam Adams brewery. If nothing else, it certainly makes for a unique wedding present (to yourself, of course). And – believe it or not – for $10,000, Samuel Adams brewer Bob Cannon will homebrew an even more unique wedding brew for one couple.

According to a source, the expensive experience will for be for sale this week on June 20 and all proceeds will go to Brides Across America, a non-profit founded to provide military brides free wedding gowns. The brewer plans to create a special one-of-a-kind recipe for the buyer and will also send ingredients for three additional batches.

Buyers will also receive a homebrew kit, gift certificate to local homebrew store, and a beer dinner that includes up to 5 friends at a local restaurant. In addition, a Sam Adams artist will provide customized printed labels for the Sam Adams beer bottles.

The Brewlywed event takes place tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first 50 people in line will have the opportunity to purchase a bottle signed by Jim Koch. Around 9 a.m. there will be a toast from Jim Koch, followed by sampling of beer-infused wedding fare, giveaways and more.

The Justice of the Peace will be at the brewery until 1 p.m. If you go, we recommend lining up at the brewery around 7 a.m. For more information on getting married at Sam Adams Brewery and to reserve your spot, email Brewlywed@samueladams.com.
