Raise your hand if you never want to see snow again? We thought so (and completely agree). And if you’re planning on getting out of town last minute this winter or spring, we can’t blame you. Just make sure you take our travel advice, first.

Which fortunately has been provided by Boston-based travel planning site, Hopper.com. The travel site looked at February to April travel to popular spring break destinations to identify a list of travel tips for the price conscious (i.e. you and me). Before you book your ticket, check out their price map and tips below:

  • “Don’t depart on a Friday or Saturday. A Friday departure, on average, will add 22 percent to your ticket price and a Saturday departure will add 18 percent.”
  • “If possible, avoid traveling during the weeks of March 16th or 23rd.  These weeks will add 34 percent and 33 percent respectively to your flight ticket price.”
  • “Book your ticket at least 15 days in advance: 4 to 14 day advance purchase will increase your ticket price by 29 percent and a last minute purchase (0-3 days) will increase the price by 62 percent.”

And if you’re looking to get of town but don’t want to blow all of your cash on an expensive vaca, you’re in luck. Hopper.com also provided BostInno with the top 5 best spring break destinations for the price conscious travelers during the weeks of March 16th and 23rd. Check them out in the slideshow!
