Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is expected to deliver remarks Wednesday, July 16 at the groundbreaking of SEPIA at Ink Block, National Development‘s much-anticipated luxury condo development in the South End.

SEPIA will house 83 luxury condo units, catering to a range of perspective tenants, including active urban professionals and migrating empty-nesters looking to settle down in the South End, currently one of Boston’s most popular neighborhoods.

Once complete, SEPIA residents will have access to underground parking and featured amenities, including a rooftop sun-deck, private balconies, INK BLOCK’s roof deck pool, fitness center, clubroom and nearby bike workshop. The Ink Block site will be also be home to a 50,000-square-foot Whole Foods, which will serve as the chain’s largest Boston location and the South End’s first full-sized grocery store.

The entire INK BLOCK project will sit atop a full block of South End land and feature six unique buildings, at the corner of Harrison and Travelers Streets. While SEPIA – with 60 percent of its units already off the market – will offer luxury condo ownership opportunities, 1 INK, 2 INK and 3 INK will feature one, two, and three-bedroom apartments for rent, above retail space and underground parking.

City Councilor Bill Linehan and National Development managing partner Ted Tye are set to join Mayor Walsh as speakers at the SEPIA groundbreaking, which is scheduled to kick off Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m.

Correction: This post originally stated that SEPIA will feature 77 luxury condos. That was incorrect; SEPIA will feature 83 condo units. We apologize for any confusion.
