Ok, folks – if you haven’t experienced a mouthwatering meal from Shake Shack yet, it’s time to do so. I can’t lie – I have a slight obsession with their delicious burgers, milkshakes and fries (those fries…). From living in D.C., where I shamelessly woofed down burgers in Nationals Park to my time spent in NYC, sucking down milkshakes and floats in Madison Square Park, – there’s never a bad memory made with Shake Shack fare in your hand.

And now, there’s one more reason to visit the nearby Harvard Square location. In celebration of Shake Shack’s 10 year anniversary, the eatery has released its own special limited edition beer. The restaurant really knows how to tug at my heart strings.

The brew that Shake Shack has released is called the Shack X IPA and will be available through Labor Day weekend.

The beer itself is described as being a “refreshing seasonal brew” made exclusively for Shake Shack by Brooklyn Brewery. The Shack X is a “robust, reddish copper” IPA with a hint of caramel and roasted malt that apparently “grab onto the beef flavors.” The notes for the Shack X IPA are below:

ABV: 6.7%

Malts: British Pale, Lager, Crystal, and Black Malts

Hops: Willamette (bittering); Cascade, Fuggles, and UK Golding (aroma); Mosaic (dry).

Yeast: Brooklyn House Ale Yeast

If you go, the Shack X IPA beer is now available at all Shack locations – including Harvard Square and Chestnut Hill spots.
