Have you ever wondered what would happen if a massive tornado brimming with man-eating sharks struck your quiet, coastal town? Neither has some 99% of the entire world’s population. Save for Anthony C. Ferrante, the mastermind director behind the made-for-TV sci-fi thriller Sharknado. Starring Tara Reid (The Big Lebowski, American Pie) and John Heard (Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York), Sharknado premieres tonight at 9pm ET on SyFy.

The premise of the sure-to-be thriller is so saucy that movie rating database IMDB doesn’t even have a synopsis listed to provide those who can’t derive a plot summary from the flick whose title eloquently combines Shark plus Nado.

Check out the Sharknado trailer here:

In all seriousness, for those interested in this low-budet B-moive–and don’t be ashamed as I’ve been known to enjoy a free FearNet from time to time–the movie takes place “When a freak hurricane swamps Los Angeles, nature’s deadliest killer rules sea, land, and air as thousands of sharks terrorize the waterlogged populace.”

Still think you have better things to do at 9pm tonight? Just take a look at this tweet by co-star Ian Ziering from July 3 and tell me to my face you’re not even the slightest bit pumped for Sharknado.

I’m calling it right now. If there’s any movie that can revive a long-since deceased film career like Tara Reid’s, who hasn’t appeared in a box office or critically acclaimed movie since….yeah I got nothing, Sharknado is it.
