Brass Union, described as a “NYC-style tavern,” has quickly become one of Somerville’s hottest restaurants since its opening this past summer – largely in part to the tasty cuisine. The menu boasts plenty of American-style small plates to complement the bar’s tasty craft cocktails and interactive lounge vibe. And with winter just around the corner, Executive Chef Jonathan Kopacz has added a new popular addition to the revamped menu.

“We recently added the Pozole Rojo to our menu and have received excellent feedback,” Kopacz tells BostInno. “The slow-braised pork shoulder is familiar and comforting to our guests and the broth, spiked with three different Mexican chiles and lime juice, is complex and exciting,” he adds.

Here’s it is folks…

The $14 Pozole Rojo is served with braised pork stew, hominy, crispy tortilla and stewed cabbage.

If you go: Brass Union is located at 70 Union Square in Somerville.
