The weather may not be ideal (at least, not at the moment) but there’s no denying that it’s finally starting to feel like spring. We’ve said goodbye (and good riddance)  to our heavy winter coats and hello to patios, white wine and light jackets. And now – thanks to Scampo’s new spring brunch menu – we have one more reason to be thankful for warmer weather.

Starting this weekend, Chef Lydia Shire’s restaurant located in The Liberty Hotel will be serving up a special spring inspired brunch menu. Here are the Brunch Buzz deets on Scampo’s “spring awakening” brunch.

When

Scampo will be serving their spring brunch on Saturdays and Sunday from 11:30a.m. to 2:30p.m.

Where

Scampo is located at 215 Charles St. at The Liberty Hotel – right across the street from the MGH red line stop.

What

Scampo’s new spring brunch menu includes both sweet and savory fare. Try their bacon, bourbon and Butterscotch doughnut or their dark chocolate malted waffle with Creme Fraiche ice cream and balsamic strawberries. Some of the savory spring items include a lobster omelet with mini provolone popovers (yum) and crisped roast beef hash with shredded potato, a Jumbo Shirred egg and grilled ramps.

The Brunch Buzz Drink

Scampo also offers quite a few spring cocktails. For something light, we recommend trying their Pesca cocktail with white peach puree and sparkling rose. Or if you’re really looking for a buzz in the A.M., try the Scampo Punch al Rum with white and dark rum, fresh juices and a splash of coconut.

Cheers to spring!
