According to a regulatory filing and MHT this afternoon, Techstars Boston has just raised $2 million in funding to support the next four years of incubation. The regulatory filing only states that $500k has been sold, but MHT is reporting that the full amount has been committed.

Techstars is also in the process of notifying the finalists for it’s upcoming programing. I have reached out to Katie Rae but am 0-2 in responses. I do know that there were around 650 applications and have heard that the list has been whittled down to 11 companies. The 11 is rather humorous because of Rae’s affiliation with Project 11 Ventures.

This is huge news for Boston and comes only a week after Techstars and MassChallenge were honored as part of President Obama’s Startup America program. This of course  solidifies Techstars involvement in this city for the next four years.
