Who says no deals get done in August? While we certainly are in the dog days of summer, TechStars company Marginize has managed to raise a cool $650k, putting their total capital raised at $662k. You may remember their first Angel Round announcement via Twitter by Dharmesh Shah, during Marginize’s final TechStars presentation in June.

Marginize’s product is a browser plugin (available for Chrome and Firefox), that allows users to “check-in” to a specific web page and leave comments in the margin. The right hand module is also pre-populated with existing Twitter content about that page. Taking a page out of FourSquare’s book, the most active community member becomes the “curator” of the site.

According to CrunchBase, the deal was funded by 11 parties including Atlas Ventures, Dharmesh Shah, Bill Warner, and others. Check out the full story on TechCrunch.
