News is happening so fast this morning that I have to combine two stories into one. According to TechCrunch, Boston based Textaurant is one of the first three companies to win 500 Startups Twilio Micro-Fund. The company will receive $10,000 in funding in return for a 1% stake in the company. The two other winners were OrderMapper and Voicendo. All three companies allow businesses to have a much more customer friendly mobile solution.

Secondly, after Groupon dumped Google a few weeks ago, it looks like they are now going after the next tier of group buying solutions. According to the New York Post this morning, Google is in acquisition talks with both LivingSocial and BuyWithMe. LivingSocial was just recently valued at $1 biillion and is the second largest coupon site and BuyWithMe is the next player in the space with revenues of about $20 million.

According to MassHighTech this morning BuyWithMe has raised over $20 million in funding from Boston-area VCs including Bain, and Matrix Ventures. BuyWithMe has also recently expanded their offices to New York City in hopes of growing at a much faster pace.
