It’s finally here! After four long years of waiting, the World Cup has once again returned to the international spotlight. The first game kicked off yesterday in Brazil but if you missed the spectacle, don’t worry – there’s plenty more where that came from. For the next month, die-hard soccer fans and casual fans alike will come together to support their favorite team. Today, you can start by leaving the office early to catch the 3 p.m. kick off between Spain and the Netherlands – a rematch of 2010’s World Cup Final game. Below, we’ve rounded up a few of the best bars to watch the game where you’re also sure to find some of Boston’s most enthusiastic soccer fans!

The Banshee

For those who don’t know, The Banshee is one of the most popular bars in Boston to watch European (and American) sports. It also happens to be a gathering place for some of Soccer’s biggest fans and was even listed by BuzzFeed as the best bar in Massachusetts to watch the World Cup. Believe us now?

Cafe Dello Sporto

If you find yourself in Boston’s North End this weekend, we recommend heading to Cafe Dello Sporto on the corner of Hanover St. and Prince St. There are sure to be plenty of fans knocking back Peroni’s when Italy plays England this Saturday, June 14 at 6 p.m.

Cask ‘n Flagon

If you’re looking for a place to watch the game and score a World Cup theme cocktail, we recommend heading to this Fenway joint. Cask ‘n Flagon boasts over 60 high-definition TVs and will be playing the games throughout the tournament this summer. The bar will also be serving a special Caipirinha cocktail with Boca Loca cachaça, mashed limes and sugar. The drink will be available through July 13.

Lir

You can catch all of the World Cup games at the “official Italian team headquarters,” Lir. To see a list of all of their Italy fan viewing parties, check out the Irish bar’s Facebook page.

Ned Devines

Team USA fans can head to Ned Devine’s to join several World Cup viewing parties happening at the Faneuil Hall bar this weekend. If you want to catch the USA group games and the Final, this is the place to be.

Phoenix Landing

If you want to watch all the games live, we recommend heading to this Central Square spot. The popular Irish bar will be showing every World Cup game live and there will be World Cup t-shirts available for $15.

Skybokx109 GastroSports

This Natick area bar offers 22 flatscreens for the perfect World Cup viewing party. Guests who go watch a game there will also be entered to win a pair of New England Revolution tickets.
