Over thirty companies from Massachusetts have been honored as finalists in the 9th annual 2011 American Business Awards, more fondly known as The Stevies.

Dubbed as the world’s premier business awards, the mission of the Stevie Awards is to “raise the profile of exemplary organizations and individuals among the press, the business community, and the general public.” Starting with The American Business Awards in 2002, The Stevies expanded over the next several years to include The International Business Awards, The Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. Up for grabs in the 9th Annual American Business Awards are The Stevies, each about 16 inches tall, hand-cast and finished in 24-karat gold. The name for the statues and show is taken from the name ‘Stephen,’ which is derived from the Greek word for “crowned.” Judges and advisors determine the winners, and feature many leading innovators and personalities in American business. Award winners from each category will be announced during an awards ceremony held on June 20th in NYC.

Congrats to all thirty finalists from Massachusetts who are in the running to take home Stevies this year — and in particular to twelve companies that were named finalists in multiple categories (with I Love Rewards stealing the most of the show as a finalist in five categories):
