‘Tis the season for hot chocolate, folks! With the holiday season in full swing, there’s no better way to welcome the chilly temps than with a hot mug of cocoa in your hand. Whether you like it the old-fashioned way or spiked with Bailey’s, there’s something for everyone at these hot chocolate spots in Boston.

Cafe Fleuri at The Langham

This Boston hotel is serving up a special holiday edition of their famous Chocolate Bar all month long. The bar features an all-you-can-eat buffet with plenty of hot chocolate. Reservations are available at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1p.m., and 1:30 p.m. every Saturday.

Caffe Vittoria

If you find yourself in the North End, we recommend heading to Caffe Vittoria. The Hanover cafe offers spiked hot cocoa with Baileys and Peppermint Schnapps. Drink up!

Cask ‘n Flagon

Cask ‘n Flagon recently rolled out a new cocktail menu with nine signature spiked hot chocolate and coffee drinks. The hot chocolate offerings include: Peppermint Pattie (White Crčme de Cacao, Irish cream, hot chocolate, whipped cream); Caribbean Warmer (Malibu, hot chocolate, whipped cream); Royal Hot Chocolate (Chambord, White Crčme de Cacao, Svedka Vanilla, hot chocolate, whipped cream); Nutty Snowman (Frangelico, Gozio Amaretto, hot chocolate, whipped cream); and the Ski Lift (brandy, Kahlua, hot chocolate, whipped cream).

Four Seasons Hotel Boston

The Four Seasons Hotel Boston launched their annual “Cocoa to Go” pop-up shop, located in the hotel’s lobby. The hot chocolate is available Wednesday through Sunday afternoons from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to traditional hot chocolate, there will also be a rotating flavor of the day available for guests.

L.A. Burdick

You haven’t had hot chocolate until you’ve tried L.A. Burdick’s drinking chocolates. The chocolate shop and cafe offers a dark, milk and white chocolate mix. We recommend stopping by their Harvard Square cafe for additional chocolates, pastries and more.

The Met Back Bay

The Met Back Bay launched their second annual Hot Chocolate Experience last Friday, November 28. The hot chocolate experience includes a flight of four miniature glasses and four distinct hot chocolate flavors, including: Classic Hot Chocolate, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Salted Almond Hot Chocolate, and Peppermint Hot Chocolate. The flight costs $14 and will be available through spring 2015.

Revere Hotel

The downtown hotel is once again featuring their hot chocolate pop-up shop every Friday this December from 3 to 6 p.m. Each week the Revere Hotel’s executive chef, Bader Ali, will announce the cocoa flavors via Revere’s social channels – so keep your eyes peeled. The cocoa is free of charge with a suggested donation towards The Home For Little Wanderers and Animal Rescue League.
