Good news for all you fashion-industry hopefuls – designer Donna Karan is starting to work on her memoir, complete with every detail on how she got to where she is today.

The title, just acquired by Ballantine Bantam Dell, will chronicle Donna’s upbringing with her tailor father through the creation of DKNY and Donna Karan (and the label’s sale to industry powerhouse LVMH). “As I look back and reflect on my journey, I see how one chapter led to another, how something ended and something else began,” Donna said. “I’m very excited to share my story.”

We’re excited too, Donna. The release may be a year away, but this is one read I don’t want to miss.
