The Economist has a fantastic online live debate platform. From Banking to Happiness, the platform hosts a debate over the course of a two-week period where experts represent each side through opening remarks, rebuttal, closing remarks and post-debate banter. The Economist then asks its audience to vote on which side of the debate they agree with, and to provide “comments from the floor.”

A new debate kicked off yesterday on the platform and focuses on one of our favorite topics: the tech bubble. Steve Blank (serial entrepreneur, Stanford lecturer and creator of the lean startup methodology) is defending the motion that we are in a new tech bubble and Ben Horowitz (partner at Andreesen Horowitz) is against the motion. Both have offered their opening remarks, and arguments will deepen tomorrow. Currently, 69% of The Economist readers agree with Blank that we are in a new tech bubble, and 31% agreeing with Horowitz’s position.
