Attention  Bostonians, tourists, and ice skating lovers alike. The Boston Common Frog Pond Skating Rink is open for glading the ice this winter season.

According to a recent press release by the City of Boston, “Admission fees are $5 for ages 14 and over and free for ages 13 and under.  Skate rentals are $5 for children 13 and under, $9 for 14 and over, and lockers are available for $2. ”

Similarly, individual season passes for skating on Boston Common’s most popular rink will cost $150. For those with with children ages 13 and under, though, it’ll cost $250.

For those not quite icily inclined, the Skating Club of Boston Skating Academy will offer “lessons every Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Mondays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Private lessons for skaters of all ages and levels, including special needs skaters, are also available through their expanded private lesson program.”
