Yes, we did in fact publish The Top 100 #MBTA Tweets of the Year on New Year’s Eve. Whatever. These colors don’t run; it’s time for the first 2015 installment of MBTA tweets.

What’s on most commuters’ minds at the start of a new year? Relationships, of course, because it’s just that time of year when people need or hate that special someone.

In a surprise twist, one of this week’s tweets comes from MassDOT spokesperson Kelly Smith! Apparently concerned/confused about her purchase of a subway pass other than a CharlieCard, Smith tweeted a picture of a New York City MetroCard. Is this an act of disloyalty? Of course not. When our backs are against the wall, we do what is necessary to survive.

On top of that, though Smith does appear to have purchased a competitor’s product, the fact is: Smith is still supporting the use of Public Transportation. It’s not like she hopped in an Uber or anything.
