It’s almost apple picking season, folks! Thankfully, New Englanders have quite a few nearby apple orchards to choose from – many of which make for the perfect fall getaway. But as the temps cool down and your schedule fills up, you may not have the time – or the desire – to drive miles away for apple picking.

Thankfully, there’s an apple orchard alternative right here in the city – minus the actual trees, of course.

The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common is featuring its own pop-up apple orchard for guests and Bostonians this fall. Starting on September 27, guests will be able to enjoy all-things-apple without the hassle of leaving the city.

According to a release, the urban apple orchard will feature beignets, caramel apples, mini apple pastries and Spiced Apple Cider for a taste of fall. All baked goods and cider are made with apples sourced locally from the Belkin Family Lookout Farm in South Natick, MA, notes the release.

There will also be farm-picked apples by the half-dozen and dozen from Belkin Family Lookout Farm for sale as well. Part of the proceeds from the urban apple orchard will benefit The Food Project, a non-profit producing healthy food for residents of the city and suburbs.

The urban apple orchard will be popping up on Saturday, September 27 and on consecutive Saturdays in the month of October from noon to 4 p.m.
