If you really cared about the season, you’d have gone big this year. As in 60? x 42?, 36-million-calorie big. And you would have donated all of your gingerbread profits to charity.

Now, I know we can’t all be philanthropic cookie architects, but let’s take a look at your competition: The Guinness Book of World Records‘s new World’s Largest Gingerbread House, built by the Texas A&M Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas.

Using 1,800 pounds of butter, 7,200 eggs, 3,000 pounds of sugar, and 7,200 pounds of flour, these cookie masters erected a house that’s over 20 feet tall at its highest, charged admission, and then donated all profits to the St. Joseph’s Level II Trauma Center.

If you start the blueprints for your retaliation now, you might have a chance.
