This season’s Top Chef certainly isn’t short on drama-filled competitions or Boston cliches, for that matter. The 12th season, which was filmed in Boston last spring, also happens to be chock-full of talented chefs from all over the country – including one hometown favorite, Stacy Cogswell.

The Boston cheftestant, and current executive chef at Coolidge Corner’s Regal Beagle restaurant, has so far proven herself to be a strong competitor on this year’s season.

Here the Boston chef and Top Chef competitor tells us how she spends her days in the Hub.

How do you spend most mornings?

I spend most mornings with coffee and cookbooks.

What are the top priorities on your to-do list right now?

The top priorities on my to do list are def laundry, and figuring out where I am going to travel to next.

What is the best part and the worst part about your day?

The best part of my day is when I get home after a long day and take a shower and relax. The worst part of my day is when my alarm goes off before I’m ready to wake up.

Why did you decide to enter the Top Chef competition?

Top Chef contacted me and I accepted the challenge because I thought it would be fun.

What was your favorite part of being on the show?

My favorite part of being on the show was meeting and cooking with all of the other talented chefs on the show.

If you could impart one piece of advice to our readers, what would it be?

Find something you love and are incredibly passionate about, and figure out how to make it a career. It will make life easier.

If you weren’t answering my questions, what would you be doing instead?

Ha! If I wasn’t answering these questions I would either be cooking or sleeping.

Tune in tomorrow night at 10 p.m. to catch Stacy Cogswell on the hit Bravo TV show.
