It’s almost here, folks! After months of filming and celebrity chef sightings, Bravo’s highly anticipated Top Chef season 12 is set to premiere Wednesday, October 15 at 10 p.m.

And even if you’re not a fan of the culinary show, we still recommend tuning in tomorrow night to see one of Boston’s own take a stab at the Top Chef title. Local favorite, Stacy Cogswell, will be gracing the screen this season and competing against the other Top Chef season 12 cheftestants.

The executive chef at Coolidge Corner’s Regal Beagle restaurant and former chef de cuisine at UpStairs on the Square will battle it out in sudden-death quickfires and quite a few unexpected challenges, a few of which take place in Boston’s Fenway Park, Plimoth Plantation, Cheers and even a cranberry bog, reports the Boston Globe.

Meet the rest of this season’s Top Chef contestants in the Bravo video, below.

According to the Boston Globe, viewers can expect to see an impressive roster of celebrities this season, including appearances by Emmy Rossum, Rob Gronkowski, Dennis Eckersley, Jacques Pépin, George Wendt, and Andy Cohen. Boston’s own celebrity chefs will also be gracing the screen including Todd English, Barbara Lynch, Jasper White, Ming Tsai, Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonette.

And, of course, let’s not forget the Top Chef judge sightings. While in Boston, judges Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, and Hugh Acheson spent their own time dining at various restaurants around town – including Sofra, Drink, Coppa and more.

But of course, it wasn’t all wining and dining. Top Chef did experience a few bumps along the way. While filming this spring at Steel & Rye, the Teamsters Local 25 group planted themselves outside of the Milton, Mass. restaurant to protest the show’s hiring practices. Deadline.com reported that the protest got ugly, with Teamsters verbally assaulting the Top Chef cast and crew. The Teamsters group denied the allegations.

The show’s filming may not have gone off without a hitch (or two) but it still managed to finish with a new Top Chef. Who do you think will take home the title this year?
