After receiving a SERIOUS makeover last year, Boston Light is again open to visitors for summer 2015 tours! With two tours daily on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from July 10 to October 4, Bostonians and tourists alike can purchase tickets to journey out to Little Brewster Island for an unforgettable tour of America’s oldest, and only continuously manned, light station.

The boat ride to Little Brewster, located in the outer reaches of Boston Harbor, includes narration chronicling the maritime traditions of Boston Harbor, past and present, as well as views of Boston Harbor’s other lighthouses: Long Island Head Light and Graves Light. Upon arrival, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the US Coast Guard light keeper, view lighthouse structures such as the cistern and oil house, and climb the 76 steps to the top of the lighthouse tower for a close-up look at Boston Light’s Fresnel lens

Tours depart from the Boston Harbor Welcome Center, located on the Rose Kennedy Greenway across from the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel. For more information, visit the Boston Harbor Islands website.
