In light of Tuesday’s report that a Beverly woman had been struck and killed by an oncoming commuter rail train, the MBTA Transit Police released the following video:

In the video, a biker stops just short of the tracks before pulling back, narrowly avoiding an oncoming train. Transit Police hope this reminds people to stay alert.

A white woman, age unknown, was killed by a North Station-bound commuter train around 9:50 a.m., yesterday, while reportedly trespassing on the right of way area of South Thissel Street.

The Essex County District Attorney’s Office, in conjunction with Transit Police are investigating the incident.
