Take a look at the photo above and tell me right to my face – through the comments section of course – that you really aren’t opposed to taking the subway to South Boston for the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

I get it, Boston. Despite all of the animosity surrounding the parade and its organizers, it’s still something you want to experience at least once during your time here in The Hub. And rightfully so. It’s a local staple that’s given Bostonians a reason to celebrate for over 100 years.

That’s not to say we’re condoning the conduct of the Allied War Veterans Council, you understand. But we recognize the potential for fun in homegrown institutions like these.

But the question remains as to how you get from your apartment across the city to Southie… without risking the MBTA.

As far as safety goes, public transit reigns supreme (despite recent mishaps). You, nor your friends, have to subject yourselves to complete sobriety and perhaps most importantly, none of you has to take responsibility for carting the rest around town.
