Taylor Swift may have ditched Spotify, but the music streaming service seems to have found a new partner in Uber. According to TechCrunch, Uber sent out an invitation for a global press call with CEO Travis Kalanick and a “Special Partner Guest” on Monday, during which it will announce a “first-of-its-kind partnership.”

The invitation was marked with a music clef, and more in-app screenshots obtained by TechCrunch hint at a musical partnership, and how it will work. Basically, all riders can become backseat DJs once they hail an Uber and get in, as long as they have the Spotify app on their phones. The screenshots show that Uber will begin collecting information from drivers, asking whether they have AUX audio inputs in their cars. If they do, riders can plug in and play their music.

A second screenshot, which TechCrunch reports is currently hidden in the consumer version of the Uber app, shows a music dashboard, with a song name and artist, as well as pause, skip and shuffle. The dashboard is displayed over an Uber map.

While the press invitation and screenshots don’t specifically name the official partner for this new in-ride music service, TechCrunch reportedly confirmed that it’s Spotify. The formal announcement will come Monday, and pretty soon, you’ll be getting to where you need to go while listening to what you want – meaning no more car radio commercials cramping your Saturday night style.
