First there was ice cream, then there were flu shots – now Uber is bringing us our own personal chef. Tonight, December 12, Uber will be teaming up with the online marketplace for chefs, Kitchensurfing, to bring professional chefs right to our own kitchens.

But the best part is that while enjoying your four-course gourmet dinner, you will also be giving back to a great cause. According to the Uber Blog, every dollar spent goes directly to No Kid Hungry, a campaign to eliminate child hunger in America.

Here’s how it works: Uber users can use the service starting tonight at 6 p.m. All you have to do is open the app and request the CHEF option in the slider at the bottom of the app. If there is a Kitchensurfing chef available, you’ll receive a phone call to confirm the party size, location, and dietary restrictions. According to the blog, there is no cash needed. Your Uber account will be billed instead.

The UberCHEF feature will be available in Boston and “surrounding neighborhoods only,” notes the blog post. The UberCHEF request can serve up to 8 people at $50 per person. But be forewarned – the demand (just like in the past) will be very high. UberCHEF will only be available between 6 and 9 p.m. tonight.
