Thursday’s weather would make even Noah and his stable of animal couples cringe. Haven’t bothered to roll out of bed yet? Take a look out the window. It’s biblical weather out there. But if you’re willing to brave the maelstrom, make sure you dress accordingly. This is the kind of weather that breeds sickness. And Uber wants to do its part in preventing that.

On Thursday, October 23, Uber is launching UberHEALTH in select cities. This one-day pilot program, afforded to Boston, New York City and Washington D.C. users, brings “flu prevention packs and shots directly to you – at the single touch of a button,” according to the Uber Boston blog.

Uber is partnering with Vaccine Finder to keep you happy and healthy, but be sure to summon the safeguard service at your earliest convenience. Uber is only offering it until 3 p.m.

What’s even better is that this is a package deal. For every one person that orders the service, they’ll be afforded a prevention pack and flu shots from a registered nurse (through Passport Health &  Pager) for up to 10 people. And if that kind of generosity isn’t enough to sway you into pricking your arm, consider that, for every shot, they’ll be donating $5 to the Red Cross to help bolster its own vaccination efforts for children.

And, continues Uber on its Blog “Every component of UberHEALTH is offered at no cost.”

Though 10 shots are offered per person, only one preventative pack will be as well.

For those who are more on the squeamish side, think of it this way: For the past two summers Uber has been driving around delivering ice cream to users on-demand. This is basically the same thing, only instead of creamy, refreshing flavors you’ll be privy to a stronger immune system.
