Japanese clothier Uniqlo made waves in Boston’s retail scene this year when the company announced that by 2015, the area would be home to six stores: two in Boston Proper, and four in the surrounding suburbs. At the end of August, the first two permanent Uniqlos opened in the Natick Mall and the Mall at Chestnut Hill, hosting collections of affordable yet quality jeans, sweaters, and more basics, as well as designer-collaborated collections.

Now, as the next Boston-area Uniqlo looms on the horizon – the Legacy Place store is slated to open October 24 – local shoppers have even more reason to get excited for the store opening. The brand announced Wednesday that they plan to relaunch one of their most popular past collections for the fall/winter season. The “Best of +J” line will premiere in Boston when the Legacy Place store opens this October.

The +J and Uniqlo collaboration proved to be a timeless collection after its initial launch in 2009; Uniqlo reps described the collection in an official release as “elevating basic garments for functional, minimalist elegance.” In order to resurrect this style for the Best of +J collection in 2014, Uniqlo stylists curated the pieces they felt best represented the philosophy of +J. This fall and winter, look out for men’s button downs, wool sweaters and coats, down jackets and parkas and more. Prices of +J will range from $39.90 to $229.90.

Best of +J will be available online and in 15 global markets this October; the first US location to house the collection will be the Chestnut Street store in Philadelphia on October 3. On October 10, the collection will launch in stores in New York, New Jersey, San Francisco and LA. In Boston, the Best of +J will be available when the Legacy Place store opens on October 24.
