Regardless of how thankful we are for what we have on Thursday, come Friday, a portion of us will brave the masses to save money on shiny new things at the store in the ritual known as Black Friday. It’s coming.

And all of the giving thanks, followed by crazed stampeding toward an iPad sounds exhausting.

So on Black Friday, a pop-up on a Boylston Street lawn will be shedding a beacon of hope and helping frenzied shoppers take a second to relax and recharge before diving back into the madness that will bestow Boston. With free coffee, cookies, breathing room and recharging stations, the upcoming hub that is the Capital One 360 Café.

The Black Friday Holiday Recharge Station will welcome shoppers to come see what Capital One 360 Café is all about, receive free coffee, charge their phones, and learn more about how they can save with Capital One’s Black Friday deals. They’ll also be giving away prizes, and @BostonTweet, Tom O’Keefe, will be joining in on the festivities, as well.

BostonTweet’s Black Friday Savings Trail Scavenger Hunt will give followers a chance to win big by hiding 30 silver envelopes around Newbury Street, Boylston Street and Copley Square on November 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Track the clues on O’Keefe’s Twitter account and you’ll get a $100 cash prize toward your saving goals. Bring that envelope to the Capital One 360 Café at 799 Boylston Street to redeem your prize.

Friday’s Holiday Recharge Station pop-up will serve not only as a pause to breathe for Black Friday shoppers, but also as Capital One 360 Café’s introduction to the city. With the first location to open at 799 Boylston Street in early 2014, the team at Capital One wants Boston to know what they’re all about before they arrive – because, after all, they are here to stay. Three more locations in Downtown Crossing, Harvard Square and Coolidge Corner are slated to join the Back Bay store over the course of next year.

Similar in nature to the Seaport’s District Hall building, which provides meeting places for innovators, businesses leaders, and thinkers, as well as conference rooms and lecture series, Capital One 360 Café will service professionals in a common setting.

According to Laura Capital One 360 Cafés will serve both Capital One customers and anyone in need of a break, a place to convene, or a place to recharge.

Our customers love having a physical place where they can experience the simplicity, ease and personality we bring to banking. But our Cafés—already successful in markets such a as New York City, Chicago and San Francisco—also offer a space where anyone can recharge their devices, and themselves, with a great cup of coffee—and learn new ways to save time and money.

To learn more about what services Capital One 360 Cafés will bring to Boston, visit the pop-up store this Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
