Looking outside your office window – that is, if you made it to work – is a grim sight. Even though it’s Mardi Gras, instead of celebrations here in Boston, all we have is a ton of snow. In New Orleans, however, that’s far from the case.

The French Quarter is bustling with Mardi Gras-goers decked out in purple, green and gold, prepared to properly celebrate Fat Tuesday. And guess what? There’s no snow on the ground there, which provides a clear path for The Rex Parade, the biggest parade during Mardi Gras, to set off at 11 a.m. (10 a.m. in New Orleans). The theme of this year’s Rex is “Wars That Shaped Early America,” and the signature floats will be traveling down the route.

NoLa.com has provided two different parade cameras, one with sound and one without, to provide a window into the celebration, even if you’re hundreds of miles away and trapped between two snow banks.
