After much anticipation, Wegmans is opening its second New England location, right here in Chestnut Hill, this Sunday, April 27. Tired of your old grocery shopping routine? Get ready for Wegmans to pump some excitement back into your life in the form of prepared foods, hundreds of cheeses, affordable groceries and more.

With the new location opening in the busy, building up area on Boylston Street, right across from the Mall at Chestnut Hill, Wegmans looks like a modest addition to the Route 9 plaza, situated beneath the new Equinox. But after entering through the Wine, Liquor and Beer shop (already open) and heading to the downstairs grocery area, guests will find an expansive subterranean store bursting with products. While the Chestnut Hill location is nearly half the size of the Northborough, Mass. Wegmans, it’s certainly not skimping on variety.

Prepping for a 7 a.m. opening this Sunday, the Wegmans team is hard at work opening the new location. From the prepared foods, to the meats dry-aged in store, to The Buzz, Wegmans cafe, and a selection of 3,000 organic produce options, as well as locally grown goods, Wegmans introduces a new type of grocery shopping to the Boston area. And while they sell all the brand names shoppers are familiar with, as well as a Wegmans line, the groceries come at a cheaper price than other leading supermarkets. While other competitors offer weekly specials and markdowns, Wegmans keeps their prices at a steady, lower point.

The new Wegmans hours will be 6 a.m. to midnight daily, after Sunday when it opens at 7 a.m., and is located at 200 Boylston Street in Chestnut Hill. Take a look inside the new location as it preps to open its doors this Sunday, and get ready to go shopping.
