It’s no secret that Boston’s young professionals are very (read: extremely) enthusiastic about food. Our somewhat “foodie” mentality leads us constantly searching for the next “it” restaurant or new food truck. So, when we have to attend a company party or event, we expect the fare to live up to our always-high food expectations.

That’s where Phoodeez steps in. Since launching in 2012, Phoodeez has been changing the way we eat at Boston’s many catered events. The startup, which was created by two MIT Sloan alumni, has dedicated itself to streamlining the entire catering process from order to delivery.

If you’ve ever been in charge of ordering a catered meal for your office or an event, you know just how confusing it can be. That’s where Phoodeez steps in.

The startup works with some of Boston’s best restaurants and food trucks to provide catering for local companies, universities, conferences and events throughout the Hub. Those who wish to place an order have two options: either use an online platform or work with an account manager to customize the menus.

“I banded together with Sal Lupoli, an MIT classmate and owner of Sal’s Pizza and Salvatore’s restaurants, to create Phoodeez and disrupt the traditional catering model,” Christine Marcus, Co-founder and CEO of Phoodeez tells BostInno. “We wanted to make it affordable and easy for catering to be fun, diverse, and delicious,” she explains.

Marcus also tells us that in addition to adding new restaurants to its already growing list, the startup is also “preparing to launch a new, groundbreaking website that will make ordering food easier than ever.”

And that’s good news for your next company event. Phoodeez currently caters to many Boston companies including Spartan Race, Litmus, Nexage, and Sage Therapeutics – just to name a few.

But what exactly are they eating? Below, we’ve rounded up the top 10 most popular eateries and dishes ordered by Boston companies. Check out what everyone’s eating in the slideshow below.
