“I’ll have what she’s having.” Each week, we’ll ask local chefs and bartenders what’s trending right now on their menus. Sit back, relax and order wisely!

With an underground “chalet lounge” and a 160-seat dining room, Bastille Kitchen has quickly become one of Fort Point’s hottest new restaurants. The French bistro, serving up plenty of modern Parisian fare, offers guests both an old world charm and a hip place to grab drinks on a Saturday night.

And for your future Saturday night dining purposes, the restaurant’s chef, Adam Kube, filled BostInno in on Bastille Kitchen’s most popular dish at the moment:

“The Gnocchi ŕ La Parisienne is personal favorite of mine and it’s been a big hit with our guests since opening too. We use a seasoned pate a choux dough to make the gnocchi, which is a blend of flour, eggs, butter and water. This type of dough is very light and people seem to really like it,” he tells us. “We gently toss the gnocchi with fresh spinach and a savory mushroom bisque and then top it with Gruyere cheese. It’s served piping hot in a cast iron skillet,” adds Kube.

Here it is, folks!

The $12 Gnocchi ŕ La Parisienne is served with mushroom bisque, spinach and gruyere.
