“I’ll have what she’s having.” Each week, we’ll ask local chefs and bartenders what’s trending right now on their menus. Sit back, relax and order wisely!

This summer, Bostonians welcomed back Somerville’s iconic Rosebud Diner. Only this time, the restaurant returned with a bit of a makeover – thanks to restaurateur Joe Cassinelli, who revamped the beloved Davis Square spot. Now, diners can expect a Pan-American menu with plenty of barbecue, in-house smoking and strong cocktails.

And if you plan on heading over to the new Rosebud sometime soon, Chef and Partner John Delpha tells us that you must order the Smoked Chicken Wings with Competition Rub Agave Glaze.

“The wings spend about two hours in the Little Red Smokehouse before they are ready to be fried,” Delpha explains. “They are smoked for tenderness and fried for crispness. The special competition rub consists of a ‘super secret blend of spices,’” he adds.
