“You don’t know how to drink. Your whole generation…” – Roger Sterling

Bottoms up! Don Draper is returning to our TV screens this weekend – drink in hand (of course). After much anticipation, the final season of ‘Mad Men’ will premiere this Sunday, April 13. Details on the upcoming season are scarce, but we can gather that Don Draper and company are headed for California – and that quite a few smoke-filled, martini-loaded nights will follow.

While pre-noon drinking may have been the norm in the 1960s ‘Mad Men’ advertising world, today’s ad professionals prefer to imbibe during post-work happy hours. And unlike Sterling’s assertion (above) suggests, our generation does indeed know how to drink. We just don’t drink martinis all day (unless they’re dirty).

While Boston certainly has a variety of swanky bars where Don Draper would have gladly ordered a whiskey neat, we wanted to find out where today’s “mad men” and women really drink in Boston.

In honor of ‘Mad Men’’s final season, we’ve rounded up the actual watering holes of Boston advertising agencies. Here’s where today’s ad professionals drink in the Hub.
