A charitable fund has been created to aid the family of Dr. Michael J. Davidson has been established. On Tuesday, Jan. 20, Davidson was tragically shot twice and killed at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Aptly called the Davidson fund, it can be contributed to by going to the page hosted by RTN Federal Credit Union here. The special notice currently posted there reads as follows:

The Dr. Michael J. Davidson Family Fund has been established here at RTN Federal Credit Union. If you wish to contribute, you may send a check for the Dr. Michael J. Davidson Family Fund to RTN Federal Credit Union, 600 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02452, or stop by an RTN branch to make your contribution.

Thank you in advance for your donation.

Checks can be sent to the fund at this address: RTN Federal Credit Union, 600 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02452. Contributors can also donate at a local RTN branch near them.

Davidson was shot when the alleged suspect, Stephen Pasceri, 55, of Milbury, entered the hospital on the second floor and asked for Davidson specifically. The Boston Police, who’s heading the investigation, is not ready to confirm or deny if Pasceri’s motive was that his mother, under the car of Davidson late last year, passed away.

According to the Boston GlobeSuperintendent Ryan Merner thinks it’s a direct connection.

A husband and father of three, Davidson lived in Wellesley with his family and had been at Brigham and Women’s since 2006.
