It’s officially Fat Tuesday and that means Mardi Gras celebrations galore. And even though you can witness the live stream in New Orleans, we still recommend that you do some Mardi Gras celebrating yourself. Today, Boston is jam packed with Cajun-inspired fare, Masquerade balls, King Cake and plenty of places to party “N’awlins” style. Below, we’ve rounded up a few ways you can celebrate around town. So get to it!

Beat Hotel

Beat Hotel will be hosting Carnival de Brazil tonight in honor of Mardi Gras. From 4 p.m. to midnight, the Harvard Square eatery plans to put a twist on the traditional Fat Tuesday celebration with an all-star Brazilian band.

The Beehive

The Beehive will hosting their 7th Annual Mardi Gras celebration tonight with jazz music and plenty of festivities. From 8 p.m. to midnight, Boston-based trombonist Brian Thomas and his brass band will take The Beehive’s stage.

Cask ‘n Flagon

Head to Fenway’s Cask ‘n Flagon for food and drink deals including: an $8 Boston Hurricane cocktail with “New” Captain Morgan White Rum, Sailor Jerry, Malibu and fresh juices; as well as Chicken Gumbo for $15.99.

Davis Square Theatre

Come see The Teaseday Club today at Davis Square Theatre. The show “presents the best in burlesque, vaudeville, comedy, magic, music, and more on the first Tuesday of every month!” And will be celebrating Fat Tuesday with plenty of performances. This Somerville show will only cost you $15 to $20.

Estelle’s

Estelle’s in the South End will be serving up a Mardi Gras Creole-Style Two-Course Prix Fixe meal for $30.95. The special meal includes Traditional Andouille Sausage & Smoked Chicken Gumbo and choice of an entree: either Braised Duck & Andouille Sausage Etouffee or Estelle’s Creole Seafood Jambalaya.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Head to Faneuil Hall this afternoon for their first-ever Mardi Gras celebration from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The celebration will include a Mardi Gras Grand Procession and will be hosted by Mix 104.1 FM and Faneuil Hall area restaurants.

Haru

Head to Haru in Boston’s Back Bay for their special Louisiana dish, Red Hot Mama. The special is a seasonal crawfish, mango and cilantro topped with yuzu tobiko and a Japanese remoulade sauce.

The Hawthorne

Head to Kenmore Square for some true “N’awlins-born cocktails” and a true Mardi Gras celebration at The Hawthorne. The bar will be serving up special drinks and New Orleans-approved snacks for $75 per person. Buy tickets here.

Pauli’s

In honor of Mardi Gras, Pauli’s in the North End will be serving up a special muffuletta sandwich for $7.49. The Fat Tuesday sandwich has ham, salami, mortadella, provolone, chopped red onion and is topped with Pauli’s house-made olive salad.

South Street Diner

From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., you can enjoy all-you-can eat Cajun-inspired fare including: jambalaya, beads, Cafe-du-Monde style beignets and more! And it’s cheap – the meal will only cost you $5.

Tryst

Chef Paul Turano will be serving up a Mardi Gras inspired three-course prix fixe menu for $35 per person. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight, guests can enjoy dishes like barbecued oysters with creole butter and chicken and sausage gumbo with spicy fried shrimp, among others. Reservations are recommended.
