It may officially be the last week of Oktoberfest, but it’s only the first week of October, which means there’s still plenty to celebrate. With numerous Boston area Oktoberfest and fall parties rocking the city this week, plenty of local restaurants are also getting into the lederhosen action. Whether you want to catch the last bit of Oktoberfest or simply want to celebrate the beginning of a perfect fall month, here are a few places where you can indulge in seasonal strong brews.

Harptober — All of October

This October, Harp, a staple Boston bar, will be celebrating their 20th anniversary celebration with “Harptober.” This monthlong celebration will offer a special “Harptober” lunch menu that features items reduced to 1993 prices (the year that Harp opened). That’s right: for the rest of October you can eat like it’s 1993. The super cheap menu items include a Hot Corned Beef Sandwich for $4.95, Harp Burger for $5.95 and Galway Style Fish & Chips for $6.95 (among others).

Old Magoun’s Saloon — Every Wednesday evening in October

This craft beer and bourbon bar located in Somerville will be featuring different German beers for the public to sample every Wednesday. There will be at least eight German Oktoberfest beers constantly on tap and served in steins. On Wednesday nights, the restaurant will also feature a uniquely German themed menu.

Oktoberfest at Bergamot — October 2

Bergamot is serving up 5 courses of Oktoberfest-inspired food paired with five German beers. Some of the courses include Wurstplatte and Pork Sauerbraten with Späetzle. The dinner costs $65. Call the restaurant today at 617-576-7700 for reservations.

“Oktoberfest Der Beehive” — October 2

This Oktoberfest celebration at the Beehive features Oktoberfest-inspired food like German Sausages, House Roast Pork Knuckle and pretzels. The celebration will also feature live entertainment from an Oktoberfest German Band. Drinks include Harpoon IPA and Octoberfest beers.

Harpoon Octoberfest — October 4 & 5

This year marks the 24th anniversary of the “original New England-style Octoberfest.” This will be a celebration of “beer, music, and Fall in New England” at the Harpoon Brewery. So come fill your stein with Harpoon beer, UFO Pumpkin or Octoberfest and listen to live “German Oompah bands.”

Rocktoberfest at Rock Bottom

The bar will be celebrating the new Oktoberfest-style beer during the month of October. According to Eater, you can also indulge in their German style fare including bratwursts, sausages and Sauerkraut-bacon potato croquettes, all until October 13.

Oktoberfest at Redbones — October 6

Set for Sunday, October 6 (rain date is Oct. 13), this free Oktoberfest event at Redbones will last all day from noon to 6 p.m. The celebration will feature a beer garden (hence the rain date) and a live oompah band. Details here.

Oktoberfest Sausagefest — October 6

Join Brasserie 28 and Jack’s Abby Brewing are teaming up to create their first Oktoberfest this Sunday, October 6. You will get to sample an assortment of homemade sausages from renowned Boston chefs such as Chef Brian Young of Post 390, Brian Poe of Poe’s Kitchen and the Tip Tap Room, Michael Sherman of Brasserie 28, Dante de Magistris of Dante, Chris Cronin of Washington Square Tavern and Matt O’Neill of The Blue Ox. And, it’s all in the name of charity—attendees may make a donation to the Greater Boston Food Bank in lieu of a ticket purchase. Check out more details here.

Hogtoberfest — October 18-20

This year’s Hogtoberfest at American Seasons on Nantucket will be a celebrations of “all things pork.” American Seasons’ Chef, Michael LaScola and Farmstead, Inc’s Chef, Matt Jennings will team up this October to cook inventive hog wild dishes.
