Butterball Turkey fans everywhere beware: America’s largest producer of turkeys has reported an alarming shortage of the birds. According to Fox, Butterball announced that they “will be shipping out half as many large, fresh never-frozen turkeys to retailers this year.” Talk about a turkey crises. But no fear – it’s not too late to order a Thanksgiving turkey and side dishes today from a few local Boston restaurants.

Del Frisco’s

Del Frisco’s is offering a various selection of Thanksgiving side dishes to go. Sides that are available for easy pickup include: Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, Signature Chateau potatoes, Potatoes Au Gratin, Spinach Supreme and Maque Choux Corn. Each dish is available in three sizes and advanced ordering is required. Prices range from $11-$46. Check out their website for more information.

New England Soup Factory

Located in both Newton and Brookline, this soup factory specializes in home-style comfort food with a contemporary twist. This Thanksgiving you can order your side dishes both from the New England Soup Factory and their sibling restaurant, The Modern Rotisserie to go including: Pumpkin Lobster & Ginger Soup, Sweet Potato Corn Chowder and Butternut Apple & Sage Soup. Some highlights at The Modern Rotisserie are Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, Cornbread Stuffing, homemade gravy, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Rainbow Swiss Chard. The restaurant’s Rotisserie menu is only available in Newton.
