Yesterday, Queen Elizabeth made an appearance on the Game of Thrones set in Belfast, Northern Ireland. But much to fans’ discontent? She didn’t sit on the most famous seat in the Seven Kingdoms: the Iron Throne. With Kit Harington (Jon Snow) smiling and on-screen queen Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) encouraging her, all signs looked good, and it would have been the icing on the set-tour cake. Yet, sorry Twitter – epic memes are not in our future here.

To her credit, when you’re the Queen, you have every right to be choosy.
