Despite whiteout blizzard conditions on Tuesday, someone took the time to shovel out the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street.

The photo was taken by Philip L. Hillman from the nearby Charlesmark Hotel & Lounge at around noon Tuesday. It’s unclear, though, who did the shoveling.

BostInno called the Charlesmark to see if it was a hotel employee that uncovered the finish line. A receptionist said that staffers have been staying at the hotel and saw that the finish line was cleared, but that it wasn’t one of them who did it.

We also called Marathon Sports, in front of which one of the two Boston Marathon bombs exploded in 2013. There was no answer.

There was also no answer from the Boston Athletic Association, which organizes the annual race.
