The Department of Public Works has nearly 600 pieces of equipment active throughout Boston, and an additional 100 inspectors are in place to check street conditions.

The City’s Emergency Operations Center is open and staffed with representative from all departments assisting with response efforts.

Boston’s transportation department will monitor traffic throughout the day from it’s traffic control center. Thus far, 138 tickets have been issued and 19 vehicles have been towed in violation of today’s parking ban.

During the evening commute, Boston Police Department Officers will be positioned at 100 intersections. This morning, officers directed traffic flow at major city intersections.

Remember to stay warm, everyone.
