A contestant on the popular game show Wheel of Fortune beat unbelievable odds to win a $1 million prize last night. In order to win during the final round of the game, Autumn Erhard of California had to solve a 2-word, 12-letter “thing” in under 10 seconds and she did exactly that. Prior to her solving the puzzle, Erhard randomly spun a wheel full of prize wedges and happened to land the $1 million one.

It just so happens that the 30-year old was vying for the prize on show’s 30 year anniversary on the 30th of May.

Gawker wrote a comprehensive list of everything that had to go right for Erhard in order to take home the cool million, showing just how difficult it is to do and how lucky one has to be:

Land on the Million Dollar wedge during the game (there are 24 wedges on the wheel that get replaced every round, and each player spins the wheel about 24 times throughout the game).

Be the one who solves the puzzle after picking up the wedge.

Never land on the BANKRUPT wedge thereafter.

Win the game, obviously (the wedge is meaningless without the win).

Land on the Million Dollar wedge again during the Bonus Round (there are 24 wedge slots on the bonus wheel).

Solve the Bonus Round puzzle in under 10 seconds.

Erhard won an additional $30,000 in cash and prizes during the show’s regular gaming rounds, upping  her total winnings to an astounding $1,030,340.

She told ABC News, I am in complete and utter shock. I’m shaking.  I came here today because I love the game, I wanted to have some fun and solve some puzzles. I feel like I’m in a dream.”

Congratulations to Erhard on her big win and best of luck to those who try to follow in her footsteps.
